India is not your August spot of warm weather, but a blistering 130 degrees, 100% humidity and the chaos of millions of people.

Inspired by the art of textile craft that is hundreds of years old, Kardo uses different weaving, dying and printing techniques to make a collection of modern men’s clothing:

Handweaving, Natural Shibori dying, Ikat, Madras check, natural indigo and block printing all developed in regions that specialise in these techniques: New Delhi, Rajasthan, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Working with the finest artisans in each technique, Kardo’s SS19 collection celebrates their skill and our modern interpretations. Each piece is hand-crafted in the Kardo workshop, one piece at a time. Every garment is hand-cut, stitched by one tailor from beginning to end and hand-finished. Each piece has a provenance tag that celebrates the artisans involved in the making of the garment.
